Rhinohide is a tough, removable body armour that protects your 4x4 against dents and scratches.
Each Rhinohide panel is custom moulded from rugged ABS plastic to seamlessly fit your car and attaches with ultra-strong magnets covered in silicone bumpers.
The small air gap maintained between the car and Rhinohide allow moisture to escape and your paintwork to “breathe”. The air gap further protects your paintwork and allows the system to absorb larger impacts without fear of damage.

Please take the time to read and understand the correct installation and care instructions for your Rhinohide panels and watch the video below.
Rhinohide is designed and intended for off-road use only and at wind speeds of less than 80km per hour.
Though unlikely, external forces/objects may cause Rhinohide panels to detach from the vehicle during use. You must therefore ensure that Rhinohide is only used in situations where there is no chance of causing injury to people, animals or property in the unlikely event a Rhinohide panel becomes detached from the vehicle during use.
Before placing Rhinohide on your vehicle, it is important to make sure the vehicle is clean of dirt and debris.
Any dirt, mud, snow or other environmental contaminants on your vehicle may affect the strength with which the magnets will pull onto the vehicle and may also cause scratching to the vehicle’s surface.
We recommend Rhinohide is installed on your vehicle prior to any off road use.
Important - Only apply Rhinohide to a clean vehicle
LINE UP LEADING EDGES
Rhinohide has been carefully engineered to fit the vehicle and enable operation of all doors whilst in place on the vehicle.
It is very important to ensure the leading edge of each Rhinohide panel is lined up correctly with the door/panel that it is being attached to. This will ensure Rhinohide does not interfere with the normal operation of the doors.
Failure to line up the leading edge tightly against the door or vehicle panel may result in the Rhinohide panel leading edge rubbing against the vehicle when the doors are opened. If this occurs, please remove the Rhinohide panel and realign the leading edge correctly.
Failure to correctly install Rhinohide could result in wind being caught under the Rhinohide panels when driving at speed. This may cause the Rhinohide panels to become detached from the vehicle which could result in serious damage to the Rhinohide panel, your vehicle and/or serious injury to individuals.
Correct installation will result in completely operable doors, no edges protruding from the vehicle surface and Rhinohide conforming to the vehicle’s surface with no protrusions or misaligned panels.
Important - Please ensure you have installed Rhinohide correctly on your vehicle.
EXTENDED JOURNEYS - DAILY INSPECTION AND CLEANING
If you are using Rhinohide on an extended journey it is imperative that you inspect the panels AT LEAST ONCE PER DAY to ensure no dust, dirt, mud or debris has become trapped on the internal surface of the panels.
Please pay particular attention to the magnets and magnet surfaces to ensure that all silicone bump pads remain in place and that no small stones (particularly iron ore rich soils found in some parts of Australia) have become attracted to the magnets.
Your Rhinohide kit comes with a microfibre cloth to help brush any debris from the panel if encountered. The microfibre should be used to wipe any excess dust off your vehicle paintwork before re-attaching the Rhinohide panels.
Important - Inspect your Rhinohide daily during use and remove any dirt or debris from around the magnets. If left unattended these particles WILL DAMAGE YOUR CAR.
We recommend Rhinohide be removed before attempting deep or fast moving water crossings. Whilst detachment is highly unlikely, it would be very hard to retrieve a Rhinohide panel should it be dislodged by rushing water.
Important - Temporarily remove Rhinohide from your vehicle before attempting any water crossing where the water level will cover more than 25% of any Rhinohide panel or the water is moving faster than 2 knots.
REMOVAL OF EXCESS MUD/DIRT/SNOW BUILD UP
Mud, dirt and snow may collect and build up over time on the Rhinohide surface. If this is the case, please ensure excess mud, snow and dirt is regularly scraped off the Rhinohide panels.
Excess build up of mud/snow/dirt will add to the weight of the Rhinohide panels above that which the magnets have been engineered and may cause the Rhinohide panels to move or detach.
In addition, excess mud build up may increase the risk of a snag point for branches and other objects.
Simply brush off any build up by hand or use a shovel edge if needed to dislodge excessive mud or snow build up on the panels before continuing your journey.
Important - Remove excess mud/snow from Rhinohide panels.
The Rhinohide system is unique in its ability to be easily installed and removed from the vehicle.
To remove the Rhinohide system, simply place two hands on the panel and work your fingers under an edge. This will break the bond of the magnets and you should be able to simply pull the panel from the vehicle.
PACKING AND STORING
Rhinohide comes complete in a convenient carry bag. Rhinohide should be stored in a cool dry environment when in the bag with no heavy objects placed on the bag.
The Rhinohide panel system is at its most vulnerable when in the carry bag and heavy objects placed on the bag may cause damage/deformation to the panels.
Before repacking the Rhinohide panels into the bag, it is a good idea to make sure the panels are free of mud/dirt and debris, this stops dirt on the outside of the panel transferring to the internal face which will be against your vehicle the next time you use the Rhinohide product.
It is best to pack panels external (plastic) side down in the bag. Start with the largest door panels and then pack in order of size down to the smallest panels. This will ensure a safe and compact fit within the bag.
Tip - Cleaning the Rhinohide panels on the vehicle is sometimes a lot easier than off the vehicle. Simply spray down with a normal pressure hose and wash with your usual car cleaning detergent. Rinse when done and leave panels to dry in a shady area before packing back in the carry bag.
Important - Do not use a high pressure hose on the internal face of the Rhinohide as this may dislodge the protective silicone bump pads over the magnets.
